Valya Hotel - Kuala Terengganu
8/10 Good
"Very clean and comfortable room. I got a great sleep after 5 days fishing on Lake Kenyir. The staff were very friendly and spoke English well making communication easy. Very close to airport for that morning flight."

"It's a budget hotel so you have to manage your expectations. I didn't see a lift but I was on the ground floor. The lobby is super clean. The room itself is basic consisting of- a bed, a table and stool. Aircon, that worked very well. They hand you a towel on check-in. No soap or shower gel(so make sure you have some) The bathroom/toilet area is especially small. It will be too difficult if you are plus sized. Or of a larger build. That said, all of it is clean. The rooms need more upkeep as there were two holes in the ceiling. My room 104 at the back had constant noise, I guess from the aircon (not mine) There is an Iron for use in the corridor. No kettle in the room but a hot and cold water dispenser. You can buy noodles and drinks in the lobby. You really need a car for the area as you need to walk about 20minutes to a restaurant. There isn't really much around the area except for the arena. It just needs a bit of upkeep."
