Everything about our short stay was lovely. The town was very quiet while we were there - our stay was primarily to visit the castle ruins (which we recommend!). Very charming town. The inn was very relaxing and we enjoyed the on-site onsen, and the excellent Japanese breakfast.
The room was WONDERFUL. We loved the traditional architecture-with modern amenities-and the room was clean and had very comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was modern and the complimentary drinks in the mini-bar area...
Lovely staff that helped us look up times for trains and buses to Takeda Castle Ruins. As well as helped us getting a taxi because apparently there’s only one out there 😅
It’s a 20 min walk on flat ground from the Wadayama station so be ready for that.
Also the taxi from the hotel to Takeda Station was around 2800 yen just fyi
