The house was built of adobe by the owners and full of charm. The breakfast was amazing. But most of all the owners were very friendly and warm. We intend to visit again.
The room was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. This is a very unique place... not your average hotel room. The walls are wavy stone plastered, including the bathroom and shower. We had no issue with not having hot water (as one review commented), and there's a cool copper tub and nice plush towels as well. The kitchen is fully equiped with pans, utensils, plates, glasses, etc. It has a refrigerator and stove, and had a 6 pack of fresh farm eggs, a package of pancake mix, and lovely...
The cabins are just that - simple, rustic but they have a full kitchen and there is an outdoor charcoal grill. There is no wi-fi or cell reception at the cabin but the lodge has wi-fi, a restaurant and store as well as casual places to sit and use the wi-fi. The area is lovely for hiking and you are in day-trip range of two National Parks (Arches & Black Canyon). As a solo female traveler, I felt safe both.
Overall, this was a great place! We stayed in the deluxe room, and the room was clean and cozy. The jetted/hot tub was also great! The only complaints we had were that the bed and shower were extremely creaky.
The lobby felt so cozy and homey, and someone offered to make eggs any way we liked at breakfast. We'd stay again!
