"If you need a middle class inexpensive place to stay local to stores, food, etc., then I highly recommend this location. As with many older hotels it does have a musty, smoke, pet smell throughout but it isn't awful, just noticable. The room was a non smoking room and it had no smell whatsoever. Rooms were outdated but clean, the was fine, enough lightning, decent enough shower, clean towels and bedding. AC worked well. It had a fridge and a microwave. Front desk was great. Location was safe and fairly lit. I wish the beds, linens, and pillows were more comfortable. I'm not a fan of half sized pillows. Walls and ceilings were paper thin. Other than that the stay was great!"

"Older property where you can drive up to the door which we prefer on long road trips with a lot of luggage. Restaurant on site was very good. Room was clean and perfect for a one night stay on our way to Cooperstown."

"It is an old, charming inn with winding stairs and hallways. The room was very nice sized, the bed comfortable, had good light, and a modernized attached bath. Do not compare it to a modern luxury hotel. The breakfast was great and the restaurant had great food for dinner. Location perfect-right across from the lake and easy walk into town. All the staff were so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Loved it!"

"The room was beautifully done and the property on the lake is absolutely beautiful! The food at the restaurant on the property was delicious and you were able to sit indoors or outside overlooking the lake! A memorable stay and worth every penny!"
