The staff were especially helpful, Bruce, Tracy, Daisy and Evie. Central location in Hungerford was very convenient for us. Very easy to train to London.

Wonderful country pub and accommodations. House staff , sarah ( in particular) very very kind ,understanding and helpful. Billy ,am wait staff , efficient, quick to offer solutions.. very kind and bright… will do well whatever path in life he chooses

If you are looking for quintessential English charm you'll find it here. Such a stunning property. The rooms were very well done and although they are in a very old building they are quite modern in their fit and finish. I can't write this review without mentioning the food. It was spectacular, probably the best food we ate on our entire 17 day vacation, big props to the chef. We would definitely stay again if the opportunity presents its self. Only thing we would do differently would be to try...

Lovely stay. The hotel is in a great location with good walks around, close to Newbury and the Watermill Theatre. The rooms were very clean, staff were friendly and excellent breakfasts. Recommend it

This is a charming, family-run inn near Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey). The accommodations were comfortable although simple, and the pub is fantastic, with really excellent food. The service by the family that owns th Inn and their employees is very good. The prices are reasonable, and the locals are friendly. The garden is very pretty also. No complaints, would stay again. The tomato soup and goat cheese salad were standouts.

Had a great stay at the Hare and the Hound. Great patio next to the restaurant to gather after a fun day and breakfast was really well put together. Room was cozy and comfy and the staff left a nice little surprise in the room.

Arrived early but no problem checking in. Lovely spacious room. Good bathroom/shower. Friendly helpful staff. Great breakfast - asked if we could have breakfast 30minutes earlier and no problem.

The folks checking us in Angie was exemplary example. Our TV did not work and she gave us an upgrade to Exec room with awesome TV and all channels. Later organized an amazing spaghetti dinner for us (on demand made to order just for us as vegetarians!!!!) . The lady serving us in the dinner room was most friendly and took great care of us. The chef is really awesome !!!!! and the English breakfast was delicious with home made veg sausages for us!!!!!

The staff was some of the nicest people we met on our vacation in England. They went above and beyond to take care of us. The food was fabulous, we enjoyed dinner and breakfast. I will defiantly stay here gain,

Staying at Ye Olde Red Lion was a fun experience. It is probably the most unique place I've stayed with its blending of old, old and new and updated rooms. I would stay here again. We were in Arran Room which was very nice other than the mattress should be replaced. It is uncomfortable. The outside grounds need some cleaning and TLC, too. My husband and I were on an adventure along the countryside back to Bath and booked this little gem of a find. Whoooaa what an interesting place to get lost! loved loved loved this little bed and breakfast! There’s a restaurant, a bar, a beer garden, and honestly, we didn’t see it all. There is a whole farm and pigs and walking paths that I hope we get back to see another time. The food was well prepared, all organic and scratch made. More interestingly, they’re self reliant on their own...

Wonderful- didn’t want to leave

This was a comfortable hotel in the center of a vibrant small town. The staff were efficient and very friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfasts were vegan friendly.

Room was large, bright and very pleasant. It took some fiddling but eventually I was able to get my shaver to work with the electrical socket in the bathroom. Hotel is at the north end of the village. People who work there are friendly and have helpful information such as taxi services in the area. Dinner was good but my preference would have been that they spent more money on the quantity of the food and less on the presentation (which was more like a posh restaurant than a pub).

Beautiful room and bathroom. Fresh pastries, milk, orange juice and water in the fridge. Really a great place!!
