"It was fine, comfortable bed, decent room etc, and an actual bath, which was great. However, it felt somehow a bit odd and unofficial in its atmosphere. As if it hadn’t completely changed from being just a local pub, and the (nice) staff hadn’t really trained in the hotel business. I’d stay there again though."

"The hotel was clean and comfortable! The staff was helpful and very kind. My only complaint was really about breakfast and the availability of fresh coffee! We stayed about a week and ate breakfast in the hotel almost every morning. The buffet never changed!! So it was pretty tiring after a few days of eating the same thing over and over. Also, you couldn’t get coffee before 7a (when breakfast started) so if you were an early riser or had an early tour - no coffee for you!"

"The hosts were very friendly and welcoming to our family of six. We rented the larger family suite and everyone was comfortable. The Lodge itself is unique and has great character. Bertie was great with our daughters and made them pancakes with sprinkles 😌. Both hosts were very helpful recommending restaurants and attractions in the area and answered any questions we had. Very personable and we felt right at home there for our 2 nights. Highly recommend!"
