"Paid £5 demanded on arrival for parking for one night and receptionist assisted with logging in registration number at reception desk. A week later received notice of £100 fine for non-payment of parking charge for the 12 hours 38 minutes of my stay. My credit card statement confirms payment of £5 to Days Inn Michaelwood. I will not be staying there again. I do not need the hassle."

"Loved this quirky hotel and all the old features of the building. Decorated in keeping with hotel. Comfy bed. Good breakfast choices. Loved all the different bars to grab a drink. Only problem was there 2 events on which were rather loud and you could keep everything from our room. They did finish at midnight! I wouldn’t have normally bothered me but I was there Saturday night and needed to be be up early Sunday morning to work at a local wedding fair. "

"The hotel is undergoing refurbishment, so they are attending to some much needed improvements. Breakfast has so much potential but was really poor. One plate sent back after staff failed to enquire about allergies. Another plate was served cold (literally cold). "
