I had emailed in advance about taxi numbers and the possibility of a slightly earlier check in so we could have the keys and drop our bags before the wedding service. "VERY crisp and ultra-clean. Not a speck of dirt nor a smudge anywhere. Cosy bedroom with good selection if drinks. Fresh milk was provided also. Comfy lounge with plenty of interesting reading materials. Unusually for online-booked B&Bs of this era breakfast was INCLUDED - as it should be for an £80 overnight stay! Each room with horsey theme and named after race horses, very clean witj fluffy towels and robes even curly wirly to have with your coffee. Hair dryer iron and ironing board . "Very quirky pub with a fantastic horse theme. The rooms were fabulous and very comfortable. They had thought of everything in the rooms and also had Dolce Gusto coffee. Then curly wurly was a great idea instead of biscuits in the room. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. "It is easy to find and a good car part. From there it just got better. There was a lively welcome as we entered the bar and very efficient check in. The room was very new well looked after. We had dinner in the carvery and then worked on our laptops in the bar afterwards. The bed was very comfortable, strange for a hotel I find, and slept very well. The only downside is the hot water in the shower does take an age to arrive but once it does, there is plenty of it. We will return."

"Cashed in some one key points for night away . Took the scenic route from Gateshead and visited Richmond , Aysgarth Falls , Grassington and Thirsk on the way .

"I have to admit that, in my case, I didn’t enjoy at all. Staff is so inflexible, I was in a business trip. Impossible to get a cold sandwich after 9pm (arrived at 9:07) no other options in town except an Indian.
The hotel is pet friendly which I like but for the rest not an option for me. A pity because I was expecting something different.

El problema es que no hay ascensor (pero sí me ayudaron con la valija) y tampoco hay caja fuerte en la habitación (lo cual para mí es un problema haciendo un viaje largo multi ciudad). "La propiedad en general está bien, pero usan varios trucos para hacerte pagar mucho más por tu estancia, que a cualquier viajero incomodan.
Te dejan un hoja donde hábilmente te hacen pensar que hay un desayuno "gratias" y otro de pago, el de pago cuesta 15 libras y es pequeño, el problema es que esperas a que empieces a consumirlo que parece un desayuno gratis y al final te cobran 10 libras por una corn flakes.
El segundo trucos es que la propiedad tiene un pequeño parqueadero en la parte de atrás, bastante rustico, y al momento de hacer el check out te informan que vale 10 pounds por día, pudiendo uno parquear en la calle al frente del hotel de manera gratuita.
Son detalles que dejan ver la mala fe con que actúan los dueños para sacarte tu dinero, pues solo anuncian todos estos cargos al finalizar tu estadía o cuando ya has usado lo que claramente parece gratis."

The room had a water heater and you can make yourself tea or coffee (which I love because not all hotels offer it).
The breakfast is amazing as they offer a Yorkshire experience, and it's nice because it’s different from the typical hotel breakfasts. There is a bar that offers drinks during the evening and some food, so if you don't want to go out, it's a good option.
