This hotel was wonderful. Carcassonne is a special town and the hotel exceeded our expectations. It is located at the base of the castle with excellent views of the castle and surrounding hillsides. The restaurant offers an open-air experience, and we enjoyed happy hour wine in the evening then a lovely breakfast in the morning. The room itself was the best part - eloquent yet comfortable. We will stay here again when we visit Carcassonne.

We had a wonderful stay! The hosts were incredibly friendly and took the time to share their favorite restaurants, sights, and local recommendations, which made exploring Carcassonne so much easier. They also offered to pick us up from the train station and drove us to pick up our rental car for a very reasonable price, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our stay at Demeure Saint Louis was a highlight of our trip! We would stay there again in a heartbeat. The house is historic and beautiful. We stayed in one of the apartments (one king bed bedroom and two twin beds in the main room) and it was spacious, perfectly clean, and very well appointed. The beds were very comfortable, the bedding, towels, and kitchen linens were high quality, plentiful, and comfortable. We were there during a heatwave, which tested the AC, but it kept up!
