We decided very last minute to stay in the Cotswalds overnight. I wanted to experience a staying a traditional inn. The Horse and Groom was perfect! We couldn't have asked for anything better. The guestroom was beautiful, clean and comfortable. We booked just an hour before we arrived, but they were gracious to accommodate us. Our expectations weren’t high because this hotel was so reasonably priced, but The Tewkesbury Lodge was a pleasant surprise—the most beautiful place, with spacious rooms, helpful, friendly staff and delicious food, both at breakfast and at night. We constantly marveled at the views and the beautiful gardens, as well as the perfectly maintained golf course. Only downside was no elevators and no air conditioning, so just fix that by asking for a ground floor room and a fan. Definitely will return....
