"**The positives: *The front desk staff was courteous, the cleaning staff was always friendly. *Nice (but cold/windy) area, super-close (~10m) to Kokura Station with plenty of conbini and vending machines.
**Negatives: *Cramped bathroom, and I'm a 'global average' height of 179cm. Toilet paper dispenser was right where my phone wanted to be, while I was sitting on the toilet. Nowhere in the shower to put stuff, so I put it on the sink....which was tiny. I wound up putting the bottle of conditioner on the floor. I bumped elbows into walls, door frames, etc. I held the door-handle to steady myself while stepping down from the bathroom to the room's floor-level. *Disgusting amount of dust/etc. behind the toilet-operating panel, so I took a Q-tip and cleaned it for you. ugh. *Shower head holder wasn't firmly attached to the wall, adding to the "cheap" feeling of the bathroom. (ie. "It's cramped AND unmaintained.") *TV was at a weird angle and plugging my Switch into it made the video cut out for a second or so, every 10-30sec. *Just one elevator, although this was never an issue. *I heard a neighbor laughing (at the TV, I'd imagine) late Saturday night, but otherwise barely noticed any other guests. (But yeah...thin walls.) *The heater dried out the air in the room REALLY badly. Room needs a humidifier. *As usual, the option for a 2nd 'actual' pillow would be nice. *My GOODNESS the coin laundry here was overpriced. I didn't use it. I can wait.

"It was a perfect one-night stay. The location was convenient, the amenities were good, and the room was clean. I’d happily stay again when I’m in town."
"Room was a little worn out but actually lended to the old European style they were going for, garden view from room was pretty good but very nice from the all-day restaurant during breakfast buffer (which also had a great selection of Japanese and Western food), would be good if they had a coin laundry available rather than or additional to the pay per item wet or dry clean"
