Meticulously clean property, quiet, relaxing, and professionally managed hotel. I have nothing but superlatives to say about our experience in Favaios. The town itself is worth the trip and the people are among the most friendly I have encountered in Portugal. Even the dogs are mellow. We will return.
We had a wonderful time at Casa Dona Edite Guesthouse. Beautiful place great scenery. The staff was very friendly helpful and accommodating. We had dinner both nights we stayed. Food was great. Nice pool and yard. I would definitely stay there again.
I would give 10 stars if I could. The property is amazing, beautiful views, and the attention to detail is everywhere. Our hosts: Anna and Marco went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Anna is also a great historian. We hope to return someday!
My family (2 adults, 1 child) really enjoyed the beauty, tranquility, and rich culture and history of this part of the Douro Valley. Maria was a wonderful host, and she was especially helpful in finding a particular, fairly new viewpoint in the Douro Valley and just in providing helpful information for things to do and things to eat.
We really want to come back when we choose to visit Portugal again in the future.
This is a lovely place to stay. My room was spacious and had a gorgeous view. Staff was very helpful - booking wine tastings and sending help via WhatsApp. Would love to go back soon!
The location is really out of the way but thanks to GPS we found it! The quinta is situated on outskirts of a small village which is quite charming. Staff was very welcoming and quite helpful. We enjoyed the onsite dinner options and the Quinta's wine. The room was very nice and outside seating along with pool area allowed us to enjoy the beautiful countryside. A suggestion would be to offer guests a complimentary glass of the quinta wine when registering.
This is a beautiful property. The pride and tradition expressed both by the family who owns and runs the property as well as by the manner in which the property is maintained was clear. I would highly recommend a stay at this winery if you looking for excellent wine and a true experience with a Portuguese wine maker. We dislike "touristy" experience when traveling so this did not disappoint. We hope to return some day!!
The hotel was absolutely fantastic, with fresh, delicious food and an incredible experience! The host even collected eggs from the chicken nest, and we explored their stunning vineyards. A slice of heaven. Discovered this place 0n a day trip a year ago and knew we had to return for a stay. Now we have to return for several days. So comfortable and beautiful. Highly recommend to anyone who likes wine or not. Love this place, truly a hidden gem!

We had a very nice stay here. The property is small, so it is quiet (I believe only a total of 4 rooms). The views from the property are immaculate. There are such pretty views of the duoro river. In the morning, a homemade breakfast of eggs, meats, and fresh fruits is available.
I will say that it is not possible to walk from the property to any restaurants or wineries, but taxis seems to be readily available.
