"Breakfast was good. Staff was attentive. The only negative thing was the fact that there were no running water on my arrival. I had to shower in the employees shower downstairs and access was on the outside."
Royalton Grenada, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort
4/10 Poor
"We stayed at the Royalton for 4 days. We arrived at the hotel at 2PM and we were not given a room until 5PM. We were not offered any water or drinks and just had to wait in the lobby the entire time.
The bathroom was dirty and we had very long wait times for room service. The food was poor and the staff was okay.
Calling a buggy was not easy. They would only show up 2/10 times so we were forced to walk multiple times.
This experience is was very poor and we are very disappointed"
"Property is very nice with amazing pools. Buildings and rooms are clearly in need of a major upgrade. Although improvements are made it still feels like a mediocre type hotel."
"The property itself is very nice, however the experience at the front desk checking in was not that good. The last thing one wants to do is to try to remember 20 plus things someone is saying to you about the amenities etc. after you have traveled for over 10 hours and is tired and beat! I think a print out of those things would be extremely helpful to give to guests instead of someone saying it while one is trying to fill out forms. The gentleman at the front was not welcoming at all. The other staff members were great, especially Loraine, Roxanne and Ingrid."
"One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! The rooms, staff, grounds, pool and food are all amazing! Everyone is so kind and helpful, you literally want for nothing while you are there. We almost didn’t leave the resort lol! Can’t say enough about this hotel and staff! Thanks for taking great care of us during our stay!"
"Good value. Close to beach (2 minute pleasant walk). Pretty views from lobby and main restaurant. Very quiet. Restaurant serves lunch and drinks by the beach. Food is just ok with some excellent standouts like the roti and BBQ chicken. They had happy hour once night with complimentary drinks which were excellent. Another night there was a bonfire BBQ on the beach which was underwhelming- the singer was not great, would have been better to have a DJ or a more lively band.
The staff are very warm and nice. They have local shuttle service. We went to Umbrella's Beach Bar one night- food was awful. Another day we took cab to St. George's for the Spice Market. It was not as large as we thought- 90 minutes was more than enough time.
We stayed in the Garden suite which had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, right by the main lobby. Decor was very cute. Blow dryer missing the nozzle which made it unusable for me. AC worked super well and there was a unit with a remote in each area so you can adjust according to individual preference. Free bottles of water in the fridge.
But the star is the beach. Beautiful blue-green water, clean sand, lots of chairs and they will set you up with umbrellas and a table wherever you want. There is a large unfinished resort right next door on the beach which is a bit of an eyesore, not a dealbreaker though. If/when they start construction again I would worry about the noise so take that under consideration.
Overall very nice; I would stay again."
