10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this property to other travelers. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were consistently kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable.
My only concern was the crosswalk situation when traveling between different areas of the property. At times it felt unsafe to cross, especially when traveling with children. I also felt for the employees who have to navigate this area daily. I understand that traffic patterns and pedestrian rules can vary by country, but improving the safety and ease of crossing would make the guest experience even better.
Other than that, everything was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return in the future."
"If you're looking for a nice and peaceful resort, this is the resort for you. I took a rest and relaxation girl's trip June 2026, and we got that. Our suite was fabulous. It was 2 bedroom, 2 bath, and quite spacious. I have no regrets."
"We had a very enjoyable stay at Sugar Bay Barbados, thanks largely to its fantastic location, great food, and excellent staff, though there are a few areas that could be improved.
The location is brilliant, with a beautiful beachfront setting, and the watersports were great, adding real value to the stay. Drinks across the hotel were very good, and the buffet food was superb, offering excellent quality and variety. A special mention goes to the staff in the Reef restaurant, who were amazing, along with most of the bar staff—friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout.
However, several issues detracted from the experience. The WiFi around the pool was weak, and bar opening times were rarely adhered to, which was frustrating for an all-inclusive resort. Pool bed service was rarely visible and never reached the upper terrace. The TV channel selection was very limited, and the steakhouse restaurant was disappointing, with poor food quality.
The all-inclusive offering also felt restrictive, as guests are only allowed to visit the à la carte restaurants twice per week and menus are restricted in terms of what you can order.
Overall, Sugar Bay has many strengths, but improvements in service consistency, dining flexibility, and amenities would significantly enhance the guest experience."
