" We found the Victory Inn at Mersea to be very comfortable and the service was brilliant. Staff were especially helpful and the position was great for my 6 year old grandson as he spent lots of time in the play area and we could keep our eye on him. We will definitely be booking again for sometime in the summer for a longer stay."

"There was a problem with a leak in the bathroom and the hotel gave us a full refund and has offered us a free nights stay. Can’t ask for me than that. Great staff, great service and once the problem is fixed very nice room.

"I stayed here before an early fly to Germany. this was perfect because it allowed us to sleep longer. the staff was nice and offered to print our boarding passes and provide a wake up call. the hotel is well kept and the last floor has a full bar and restaurant even opened on sunday this was one of our favorite parts of our stay. I recomend staying here "

The location of the hotel next to a busy road and the railway wasn’t ideal but there was nothing the hotel itself could do about that. It was, however, close to everything you needed, within walking distance. They also welcomed our dogs and even supplied dog beds, bowls and treats. "

Evening meal was delicious. As previous reviews have said it is a little dated and worn in places, but it felt like the seaside b&b of yesteryear. We will definitely visit again."
