"Excellent breakfast. I will miss the pistachio cake especially. Staff are all wonderful. Suite was spacious and comfortable. Pool is beautiful!"

"We only really stopped, rested and continued on a long journey rather than enjoy the site better. It was very characterful and in a pleasant location."

"Fantastic customer service from your receptionist as we had a major delay at the tunnel. She assured us that it didn’t matter what time we got there she would be waiting and she was with a couple of beers & a wine. Great service easy to find will return"

"Thank you so much to Christina and Erik for a wonderful night’s stay at Château de Valesne. We were made to feel really welcome and everything from our beautiful room, stunning grounds and lovely food shared with our hosts and other guests, made for a very special stay. We’d love to come back!"

"A charming and unique place to stay surrounded by water and gardens. Very calm and relaxing. The host was very welcoming. "

"This is a lovely place to stay and the host was gracious and went out of his way to help in every way possible. I arrived on my bicycle and was able to put it into the secure garden area onto which the entrance of the property opened. There is a nice seating area in the open fronted barn, which is perfect for a quiet drink. The room was terrific. Spacious, immaculate and with everything I needed. "Nice hotel, for me the location was great. Clean room, dark and quiet at night. Restaurant was nice, had a good dinner. My dog found it very nice, he had easy outdoor access from our room. All in all, great for the price."

"Unique and beautiful property, stunning grounds, delicious food in exceptional dining room. Friendly service, and casual atmosphere very accommodating for dogs. Lovely period room stylish decor and comfortable bed."

"The family hosting this place were great. However the photos on the website don’t exactly match what you get. "

"Great place close to the chateau! Staff was very friendly, room was comfortable, would stay here again"

"We really enjoyed our stay. The pool is great and the place is really quiet - we slept really well. The owner / manager was really accommodating; she gave us eggs for breakfast, let us check out a bit later and extended the pool hours. The Chenonceau suite is very large and can accommodate a family with kids or a couple with lots of luggage!"

"What a superb little place, not so little as the dog and I had the house to ourselves. If you want something which is quiet, safe, typically French and within a 10 minute walk of a fab bistro in the village then this is for you. Host was superb, great communication and attention. Would highly recommend as a pit stop if driving from UK to Spain."

"Really friendly and helpful staff, nice restaurant, comfortable rooms."

"Great budget hotel, clean, friendly and comfortable beds. Ideal place for an overnight stay."

"Very friendly staff very clean room"

"This was a last-minute stop for us on the way home from vacation. The staff was extremely friendly and the facilities were great. "

"It’s an old building… with an overgrown garden like an haunted mansion. First impression was to run… seemed like a horror movie set. Old furniture with dantesque paintings in this dark manor. BUT… we stayed as was only a motorway stop. Dinner was in the middle of the garden… and food was AMAZING. Room was super specious and super clean… with all the accessories. Breakfast was generous and well presented in a room from 1830!! Great value for money… and super well connected to lovely locations...

"Environnement très agréable, le spa à été un vrai plus lors de notre rapide passage ( une nuit)"

"Spotless room, 24/7 reception and very good value for money"
