The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. While the location on the south side of the lake is a bit tucked away and takes more effort to reach, it is surrounded by a vibrant old street with plenty of life and things to do. "

The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was excellent with many varieties of tasty Taiwanese dishes. We especially appreciated the sunrise bike tour led by the owner, Mr. Wang, who is very knowledgeable about the history, geology, and ecology of Sun Moon Lake. He guided us to the best places for sunrise photography along bike paths of the lake. My whole family including two grandkids enjoyed his warm hospitality during our two-day stay at Laurel Villa during Christmas HOLIDAYs."
