"My partner and I stayed at Grand Blue Fafa Resort & Spa for our first Valentine’s Day together, and unfortunately it was very disappointing.
When we arrived, the main parking lot was full (we used the secondary lot), and the reception lines were extremely long — about 30–40 minutes. While waiting, we heard the guest in front of us complain about being given the wrong room.
After checking in, our room was not decorated for Valentine’s Day as requested and confirmed, and it wasn’t the junior suite we paid for — it was labeled an “apartment.” We went back to reception and were moved, but the second room was also not decorated. Since we had already been given the wrong room once, we weren’t even sure if this one was correct. My partner didn’t want to use the bathroom at first in case we were told again it wasn’t our assigned room. The layout looked very different from the online photos, and we were told the Expedia pictures were from seven years ago.
By the time this was resolved, it was nearly 8 PM. We hadn’t eaten, and the spa was closing within an hour, so we had very little time to enjoy what we booked. They offered a drink and late checkout, but that didn’t make up for the lost time since amenities open later and we still had to pack.
Overall, it felt very unorganized and disappointing for such a special occasion."
"The check in process was month. The rooms were clean. The water pressure in the bathroom was quite powerful. Breakfast was quite continental. Ermal from reception was very receptive. He made sure our stay was very smooth. I will recommend this hotel. "
"The staff were courteous and welcoming on arrival.
The breakfast although it comes with food was substandard, European style. To gain more attraction the overall look of the restaurant needs to be more authentic alongside the menu.
The spa was exceptional.
I requested for a note with 2 glasses of prosecco on arrival in advance. This was not fulfilled. It came to their attention later on my stay which at that point was not needed
I was charged an additional £60 for not putting in partner name in the room. This was an honest mistake. Nonetheless I paid as I don’t like long winded conversations after a long Journey to get there. Is this normal procedure to charge extra for added someone’s name onto a room that already paid for?"
"The best breakfast in the world. Great service, fresh food and the most important, organic food. The service is excellent. There is a waiter called Reldi who was great and very friendly/professional, always smiling. "
