The Landmark Hotel
6/10 Okay
"First time staying in The Landmark Hotel as I was in the vicinity for a conference!
Although, the Kellys always prided themselves on exceptional standards, and given my Mother was a former member of staff in its heyday, I was given a room that shouldn’t have been used for guests!
The bathroom had major issues with tiles about to come off the wall, the sink area not thoroughly cleaned to a high level of standards and the furniture was outdated and the curtains had bad stains on them!
The best part of my stay was the exceptional staff at breakfast and again in The Boardwalk and reception!
Left feeling disappointed by the stay."
"Had a lovely stay, the staff were so lovely and the food was excellent. Had a really good deep tissue massage in the spa also . Enjoyed the beautiful sunsets at Rosses Point a few mins drive from the hotel. Overall loved my stay there."
"I had stayed at the Clayton in Sligo a few times before (last time was in March of last year) and it maintains high standards in every aspect.
I had dinner at the Bistro Bar and, besides the good food, the young waiter and waitress that were serving were so professional, attentive and caring. The food was also served quickly.
Breakfast remains excellent with huge variety of choices.
The hotel building is majestic and beautiful with plenty of parking and the rooms are bigger than the average hotel room.
As I was working in the hospital, the Clayton's location is perfect, so this hotel ticked all boxes for me."
"It’s lovely hotel and very helpful staff, no main hotel parking but pay and display parking around canal and around town. Very quiet we really enjoy our stay."
