"Our stay at Vilankulo Beach Lodge was simply unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and taken care of. The service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and always delivered with a smile, making us feel both comfortable and valued throughout our stay.
One thing that truly stood out was the sense of safety and peace we experienced. It allowed us to fully relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings without a worry, which is priceless when traveling.
But what made this experience truly special were the meaningful conversations we had with Angela and Damien. Their kindness, openness, and the time they took to connect with us added a deeply personal touch to our stay. These moments went far beyond what you expect from a hotel experience—they created memories we will carry with us for a long time.
A beautiful place, wonderful people, and an experience we would gladly relive. Highly recommended!"
"The air-conditioner wasnt working properly and when we complained the 2nd day the caretaker asked us to request for a refund and leave the hotel .We were ok with it but realised the hotel policy on the websites we used for booking had stated that they was no refund for our booking
for whatsoever reason. When we informed the caretaker he insisted we cancel w the website which we refused. He called a colleague and later agreed to settle our money for the remaining days we were supposed to stay.
We left the hotel and a few minutes later he followed us into town and stopped us and started making accusations that we didnt pay the hotel and we were frauds and started issueing threats stating he will report us and will not cross the border back home .We tried to show him the proof of payment send by the booking website and visa card used but despite all that he kept insulting and humiliating us in public. The worst of his reaction was when he told us to leave Mozambique and never to visit his country again (we felt discriminated and attacked because we were foreigners). This incident traumatized our experience and visit.
