Hotels in Uptown - Upper Duval

"So much fun. Close to everything. The pool and the activities at the pool were so fun. Bartenders were really nice and the front desk staff were very nice and helpful! I loved the espresso machine in the room lol. The garden and flowers outside were beautiful. The pier outside was great for watching the sunset. I really enjoyed the breakfast at the age. "

"The resort staff is friendly and helpful. Amazing they have made a tropical oasis in the midst of a heavy thoroughfare and business area. We enjoyed being a bit away from the busy Duvall and seaport area. Our room (King Suite) had water and garden views. L’Occitane bathroom amenities. Attentive house and grounds keepers. A small table and a sitting chair would have been nice to accommodate playing games. I think some rooms we looked at online do. Only had a couch in living room and bed in the bedroom. We brought in the outdoor seats. The king suites and 2 BR suites (which is a lock off on the 3rd floor) require ascending a flight of stairs, although I did see an elevator that may allow better accessibility. The studios are on the ground floor, but still requires walking up 4-5 stairs. There is a shuttle that we didn’t use to get to the beach and old town. Ride-shares are plentiful. The restaurant, for the one meal we ate there, was overpriced ($30 for a full breakfast), service wasn’t very attentive (eggs were overcooked and waitress never checked to ask for me to send them back. I could have tried to get her attention, but she was too busy talking to another employee…we had to ask another person for our check), and 18% gratuity is automatically added. Denny’s is across the street! Overall it was a great stay, I would highly recommend, and we will definitely stay there again on future travels to Key West (just won’t eat at the restaurant). "The place was very nice, clean, and the was staff friendly. My friends and I very much enjoyed our stay here. We will definitely stay again the next time in Key West. We were lucky to have a room overlooking the marina, sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee in the morning was a relaxing way to start the day. The food was delicious as well. We definitely recommend this hotel. If you are lucky you may get to see Ellie the Golden Retriever with her owner at the concierge desk. "

"This was our third time staying at the Orchid Key. We brought our adult kids this time. Will always stay here. It’s conveniently located at the quieter end of Duvall street which we like. You can walk to everything. They use to give a complimentary drink for each night of your stay but this time it was one complimentary drink. They should bring that back or maybe give you a complimentary drink for half your stay. It was a big perk but the complimentary breakfast is great and the fact that hotel is for those 18 and older is also a plus. "
