"Off season so the “hotel” was closed. We were staying in the “residency” in a 2 bedroom suite.
Still, at $1200/night you think they’d try. Or close completely.
They told us we needed an appointment to use the gym. We tried to make an appointment for two days by calling and emailing with no response.

Amazing location- easy access to Ajax mountain and just a few blocks from town transit. The hotel offers daily happy hour and cookies and the hot tub was a treat after skiing. Breakfast was a great selection with lots of fruit and grab and go options in addition to oatmeal, cereal, eggs and bagels.
We loved our stay at The Residence Hotel. The hotel is super convenient to Aspen Mtn for skiing. The gondola is less than a 10 min walk! The room was spacious which we appreciated with our 2 dogs. The bed was extremely comfortable and we enjoyed having a little kitchen to make coffee/tea and breakfast in the morning. We will certainly stay again when visiting Aspen.
I stayed for 6 days working on an awards show in Aspen. The commute was fine, even with a few snowy days in the mix. The location of the hotel was great. Close to the river and shops within the area. The whole experience was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was light, but that's the way I like it. A+ experience and will return again for work.

Despite a very frustrating Expedia experience wherein I received a confirmed reservation from Expedia for my stay and informing me that there was no need to confirm with the hotel, I did anyway and learned that the last day of my stay was not on the hotel's reservation list and as the hotel was fully booked I was out of luck. Hours of phone conversations with various players (e.g. Expedia, hotel) were wasted in utter frustration the night before my arrival date. Finally, the hotel was able to...
Hotel was great! Fabulous location right in the middle of town. Jacuzzi on the roof with spectacular view. Free continental breakfast with these great breakfast burritos. We thought the room was cozy and had a fridge for leftovers to store. It's not the Little Nell, but a fraction of the price. For us it was totally worth it for the price. Will stay there again.
Traveled to Aspen for my daughter’s bday and chose the W Aspen knowing they excel in service. The first night, my daughter received milk & cookies and a handwritten card. The following day, a pair of animal sandals, then the next day cupcake. Tasha, at the front desk made a lifetime and memorable experience for my daughter.
The Residences are very spacious and comfortable. Mask policy is sometimes enforced, but this hotel is superior to the Nell in that vaccines are not required for 12 and over, so if you are reluctant to have your children or yourselves vaccinated the St Regis will not discriminate against you. Service was excellent across the board. Convenient access to Aspen Mountain and 10 minute drive from Buttermilk and Highlands, 20 minutes from Snowmass. Connected to Aspen sports for ease of rentals.
The property was super comfortable, and clean, the bath was new, the location was near everything, we really appreciate the parking lot. I would only say that you need to coordinate the check in 24 hs before arrival, because if you arrive after 4pm there will be no one at the reception and you need physical keys to enter into the property.
We arrived at the hotel after midnight and had to wait for security to check us in. Other than that our experience was truly outstanding. The website's do not do this hotel justice. Elegant rooms and amenities!
LOVE all the wonderful old ski memorabilia and the mountain pictures and posters. Easy walk to downtown for coffee and a beer. Mini kitchen is clean and plenty big. SUPER friendly office staff and excellent morning coffee. I love this place. A true classic in every sense of the word.
