What an amazing experience! I travel tons for work and have stayed in various parts of Europe and North America. I am used to first tier and first world amenities. So I was really disappointed when our travel agent booked us a hotel in Ravenna with visible bed bugs. We opted out of that completely and so were looking for a hotel available same day close to Venice but in the countryside. We found it online and booked it same day.

No issues with the hotel but the town was pretty much shut down for the season so there weren't many restaurants open. The beach & the Adriatic Sea were fabulous & the weather still warm & sunny.

Nice and helpful staff. Very clean rooms and fresh bed lining every day. Very good breakfast with many healthy alternatives, delicious pastries. Good access to beach, inside parking.
everything was really nice, great location, good value,good breakfast to get us going, and the staff very helpful. the only unfortunate thing for us was they have no pool.
The highlight were the lovely warm pools and the surrounding hikes. If you are are club member everything is xclent...if you are a discount hotel.com guest you get a noisy room next to laundry with view of fire escape...a nd breakfast in basement. With focus on pools and hiking it is good. If ya have kids, they have some fun bits. The one bar staff guy was lovely happy and friendly...but everyone else was...just okay.
Hotel Fontanelle is in a small town. There is a superb restaurant (pizzeria notte) and the surrounding area is quintessential Italy. Just check your bus schedule, and be patient with the late arrivals.
