Check-in is at a different location than the Cottage, so be sure to review the messages from the hotel before arrival regarding check-in location.
We were the first guests to arrive for the evening. Our room was clean and tidy upon arrival, and so was the bathroom and kitchen/common area.
The cottage was full and we were on the 2nd floor with 2 bathrooms. Each bathroom only had 1 bath mat, which disappeared after the 2nd person took a shower. (Each room should be provided its own bathmat, not 1 per bathroom. Besides ensuring we'd have use of a bathmat, it's more sanitary.) The bathroom doors/doorknobs were sticky and required a bit of "slam" to close, making it noisy for guests, especially those right across the hall.
There should also be some indication where extra toilet paper and blow dryer are stored. When we called about it, we weren't told it was in the drawer below the sink (thought it was a false drawer so hadn't looked), but was told to look in the other bathroom. Not helpful.
Other guests left food in the sink drain after cooking/eating. Sign should indicate to throw in garbage.
The cottage is relatively old, even though the bathroom and kitchen area have been updated, and it sounded/felt like we were going to go through the floor when walking around in our room.
