Fun lovely spot. Food was delicious at the restaurant and the breakfast was lovely. They had gluten free options which I appreciated. Nice location with many hike nearby.

Unbelievable hotel, the staff were incredibly helpful, whether it was the evening staff who told me not to worry that I would be late for check in or the lady at breakfast who couldn’t do enough for me, what a gorgeous place. A stunning pub with lovely rooms and facilities! My only regret is that my stay was a short one on a business trip and that I didn’t have time to sit in the pub and soak up the atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone, bed was a delight, rooms were clean and the breakfast was delicious! Fantastic stay! Thank you!

Room was adequate. Food was either over-salted or over-sweetened. Staff were helpful and friendly. I wouldn’t stay again.

4/10 Regular

I booked based on the photos which made the property look like it was a stately home with gardens and was disappointed with the hotel and room. For the price I expected something far more comfortable and well finished, but it was very basic. It was also too cold and the radiator didn’t work. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell and the shower pressure was very weak. The room was noisy too — the property sits next to a busy road and the windows aren’t double-glazed, so traffic noise came straight through. The TV only had a few basic channels. The pub itself is a different story. Staff were friendly, the food was excellent, service was spot-on and there’s plenty of parking. I wouldn’t stay overnight here again given the room and what I paid, but I’d happily come back just to eat.

Breakfast as always great and good service in the evening. The room was not as nice as the ones across the road in terms of space but I booked late and you were busy so understandable.

Charming historic country pub draped in wisteria at this time of year. Our room was in a modern courtyard which blended very well with the original building. Room clean and well planned. Excellent breakfast - nice thick bacon and delicious sausages.
