1. Location
Shumon Hotel is ideally located within easy walking distance of major attractions, including the National Museum of Tajikistan, Rudaki Park, and the Ismoil Somoni Monument. I stayed at a different hotel every night in Dushanbe, so I had a good opportunity to compare their locations. In my opinion, Shumon Hotel has the best location of all the hotels I stayed at in the city.
2. Room
The room was neither too large nor too small, but just the right size. One of its biggest advantages is the large window, which can be opened fully. This allows plenty of fresh air into the room and makes the stay much more comfortable.
3. Staff & Service
I did not have much interaction with the staff. However, when I arrived to check in, my room had not yet been cleaned, so I had to wait approximately an hour and a half beyond the scheduled check-in time before I could enter the room.
4. Breakfast
Breakfasts at hotels across Central Asia tend to be quite similar, with some minor differences from one hotel to another. Shumon Hotel's breakfast was neither particularly better nor worse than those at other hotels I stayed at. It was fairly typical for the region.
5. Other Impressions & Value for Money
Dushanbe is a relatively small city, and the area around Shumon Hotel is one of the more lively parts of town. Considering its excellent location and reasonable price, I think the hotel offers good value for money. The nearest supermarket is a bit of a walk away,
