Overall, outstanding stay! The room was spacious, modern and well equipped (kitchenette etc) The free breakfast was a pleasant surprise - absolutely amazing quality and fantastic view The terrace with the hot tub was great, however the chairs were a bit broken The communication from the property manager was great

What can I say the property was excellent. It was in an ideal location and everything you wanted was there. The property was clean they provided us with clean towels and all cooking utensils they even provided free breakfast at a lovely restaurant near the harbour which was a lovely touch. I would recommend this property to anyone that's looking to go to chania

Amazing location, close to port and bus terminal. Very clean and modern property. Easy checkin and communication with property. Only downfall was no stovetop in our room which was listed on the amenities list when booking. Would definitely book again!

An excellent modernised room with everything you need. Clean and great location, very quiet at. Coomunication with the owner was through email with good entry instructions. Highly recommend staying here. No such view but you're not far from the harbour area.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Portou House. Our room was on the top floor. There was some hanging space but not a lot of storage other than one drawer. The bed was really comfortable and toiletries and a hairdryer were peovided. The room would benefit from soundproofing as there was a bit of noise from a nearby restaurant, however this did not spoil our stay. The rooms are in a great location. We would definitely return.

We stayed at Portou House for 5 nights and had an excellent time. Very good location in Chania Old Town. Communication was great from start to finish with Julia being very responsive. We were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of wine for my Partner’s birthday which was a nice touch. The only feedback we would have is that there was no full length mirror - think it would be good to consider including in the rooms. Many thanks Julia and team at Portou House.

The location was good, and the communication was good, but we didn't have any dishes except for cups. We also thought it would be bigger. The room was unfortunately very small. New towels were only provided every other day, and trash was often left there. We also didn't know beforehand that you weren't allowed on the roof terrace. Our room wasn't shown in any pictures beforehand, which is why we had higher expectations. It was also very noisy. And we couldn’t open the windows without people see us. So, unfortunately, it wasn't worth the money.

100% Recommended! We had an amazing time and are so happy with our choice. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—less than 10 minutes from the bus station and super easy to reach from the airport (30 mins, 2.70€). The neighborhood is lovely and quiet, and we slept like babies every night thanks to the big, comfy bed. Our favorite spot was the rooftop terrace—it’s so relaxing, and having drying racks for our beach gear was a game-changer. The jacuzzi was the icing on the cake! The property manager was a total star, always kind and reachable on WhatsApp whenever we had a question. We also loved the breakfast at Almy in the Old Harbor; the food and the setting are both beautiful. Plus, the environmental tax was only 10€ total, which was a nice surprise compared to standard hotel fees. We can’t wait to return! ✨

Ich war im Juni für eine Woche im Portou House und war rundum zufrieden. Mein Zimmer war groß, sehr sauber und bestens ausgestattet – es hat wirklich alles gehabt, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht. Das Bett war sehr bequem, und als kleines Extra gab es sogar ein kostenloses Frühstück. Die Lage ist ideal – mitten in der Altstadt von Chania, sodass man alles bequem zu Fuß erreichen kann. Auch der Check-in und Check-out waren unkompliziert und schnell. Ich kann das Hotel absolut weiterempfehlen und würde jederzeit wiederkommen!
