We had a fantastic experience staying at AEI at Kā‘anapali Shores! The location is incredibly convenient — just a short walk to a supermarket, great local restaurants, and even a fun food truck park. The amenities were top-notch, and I especially appreciated the permanent pickleball court and covered parking — huge perks for active travelers and families. The staff was prompt and responsive, even during a tsunami warning. Their calm communication made us feel safe and well cared for. Our room had a beautiful ocean view, and while the property isn’t brand new, it’s very well-maintained and clean throughout. If you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and aloha spirit on Maui, I highly recommend staying here!

We have stayed at this property multiple times. The staff is wonderful! The food and service at The Beach Club restaurant is fantastic! There is a grocery store right across the street as well as a few restaurants. The Hawaiian BBQ restaurant is a great deal. Good portion of food and freshly made. Two pools to enjoy. The mornings are so tranquil. We sat and had our coffee while enjoying the ocean. We won’t stay anywhere else!

It is located in a nice area with many other resorts.it is safe and secure with easy parking. It has a good balcony where you can watch sunsets. The property maintenance appears a little tardy with broken closet door rollers. But otherwise generally satisfied.

The hotel was perfectly located. There were plenty of restaurants close by some even within walking distance. Restaurant on the premises was good and convenient. Food trucks within walking distance open from 5 to 8p.m. Communication with the hotel staff was amazing...they responded to our needs in a timely manner. We would stay there again. Overall, for what you pay, substandard. Housekeeping was below standards, garbage was left outside of doors (not ours) for days. Bed was below standard. Its Maui, so the view is amazing, but nothing the hotel created. Nothing, as far as staff nor amenities, was above acceptable, with one exception - great onsite stores.

This resort was very lovely! We loved the beach view from the balcony. Also that it had 2 pools & was right aside of the beach. The only negative things was having 2 pay for parking (that should be included with your stay price, or resort fee). & also the balcony sliding door was very difficult 2 close.
