어디서도 느껴보기 힘든 정말 특별한 경험이었어요. 소설 속 정글에 들어온 느낌이었어요. 주인분의 철학이나 가치가 숙소 곳곳에서 느껴졌어요. 도시의 그런 문명에서 벗어나 정글 체험을 하는 기분이었어요! 와이파이가 원활히 잘 되진 않고 전자레인지도 없는 등 몇몇 불편함은 있지만 정글 체험만으로도 충분한 가치가 있었어요! 감사합니다 마할로!

Lovely spot to enjoy Volcano National Park. The small town is quite limited, so maybe not ideal for a long stay. The Bamboo Guest house was well suited for our family of four. Our two children slept on the “floor futons” and were very comfortable. The house is not air conditioned, which means the windows must be open when it is warm out, allowing some bugs and moisture in. But, the rain forest vibes are pretty nice. Really enjoyed the Japanese soaking tub. WiFi is very spotty. Host was lovely and the breakfast fruit and breads were nice additions.

Amazing stay at the Volcano

This place was so unique and amazing!!! Very special place that we are lucky to have found. We also got there in time for the volcano to erupt. Proximity to the park was unbelievable and the management was extremely helpful and friendly. Cannot recommend enough.

Gorgeous property, quiet and serene, loved sleeping to the rain. It is clear this place was a labor of love to build and is well maintained. The volcanoes national park was 5 mins away and so convenient. The little “town” of Volcano had good restaurants and art center. Would love to come back!

Ein toller Regenwald Retreat

Ein unglaublich ruhiger und gemütlicher Ort inmitten des Regenwalds zum Relaxen und Verweilen. Wir waren als Familie mit 1 Kind im Guest Cottage für (leider nur) 2 Nächte und haben den Regenwald und die Nähe zum Volcanoes Nationalpark genossen. Die Unterkunft ist perfekt, Frühstück wird jeweils am Vortag nach Wunsch geliefert. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

This is one of the nicest bed and breakfast place I’ve stayed at in Hilo and it’s close to volcano national park about a 5 min drive! They will text you to meet you at the time you arrive to show you around and if you need anything you can text. The place does come with free wifi and it has a kitchen and free breakfast items. I loved the Japanese hot tub in the back but this place is so cozy in paradise tranquility! I definitely recommend this spot if staying in Hilo! Only thing is the closest grocery store is 30 min drive if you plan to cook here.

So beautiful and relaxing!

This was the most serene and relaxing place we have stayed! The hosts are so charming and helpful but still give you a lot of privacy. The grounds are incredible! You feel like you’re in the middle of the rainforest! Great place to disconnect in nature. The restaurants in town were great too!

We had an amazing experience at Volcano Rainforest Retreat. It was just my husband and me on our annual "just us" retreat (no kids!) Our cottage was hidden from view by a thick tropical garden, making us feel like we were all alone in a jungle. We had a private Japanese hot tub outside and a shower- both hidden behind lush tropical plants. Every day, we were treated to a clean room and a basket with breakfast goodies. The location of the Retreat could not be any better- we were just a couple of miles away from the Volcano National Park and in close proximity to the village with several delighful restaurants. By the end of our stay (which was a whole week), we fell in love with this place. We defintiely plan to come back.

Our cottage and the hospitality of the owners and their staff were all excellent. We are a family of 5 and we were very comfortable in our cottage. We enjoyed the jacuzzi too. The location of the cottage in the rainforest was beautiful. We highly recommend Volcano Rainforest Retreat.
