Less fussed about our afternoon tea booking at the Lexington, where we shared a room with a wedding reception, when our function was a 70th birthday. Friendly staff on the whole. We booked a double and were initially sent to a twin room but fortunately this was quickly remedied. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Tatty desk chair. Bathroom clean. Some chips on edges of tiles in the shower area. Spent some time mid evening in the bar. Only two tables were available when we arrived, both with dirty glasses etc. Neither was cleared in the hour we were there, though the bar staff did not appear to be very busy.
