We would not recommend this hotel to visitors who do not speak Japanese. As English speakers, we had significant communication issues with the staff, which led to multiple service errors during our stay.
We booked a 180-minute treatment that was confirmed by the front desk, but it was later canceled by the hotel due to staffing issues. We then scheduled a 120-minute in-room massage as an alternative, which was also confirmed. However, the therapists left after 60 minutes. The front desk apologized and informed us we would not be charged for the massage. I appreciated this gesture of compensation for the several errors the hotel made in our bookings.
However, at checkout we were unexpectedly billed for a 60-minute massage, which contradicted what we had been told earlier and added to our overall frustration.
