Great host and communication. The house is cozy and it had everything we needed. The air conditioning was great in the Japanese heatwave. In just under 10 minutes, you can walk to some of the nicest streets in Kyoto with temples and cafes.
However, everything around there closes quite early and becomes really quiet - so be aware if it’s not your vibe. Not a big deal for me, though.
The only real issue is that the property is not very accessible: the closest bust stop is about 15 min away and you have to walk up a hill to come back; even taxis don’t enter the street, so it’s very cumbersome to enter and leave it (specially with heavy bags).
I’d still recommend it though if carrying your bags or walking up hills are not issues for you.
