I can highly recommend the Pheasant. The staff were excellent, the rooms were small but very well appointed, dinner menu was interesting and varied, breakfast was great. Location was perfect for Kielder Reservoir and in the middle of beautiful Northumberland countryside

All staff were helpful and friendly. This was our second visit to the Pheasant Inn and both were very enjoyable with comfortable warm rooms, tasty food at breakfast and dinner and most enjoyable atmosphere in the bar mainly due to all the staff engaging with all customers and their service was exceptional

Helt og aldeles vidunderligt kro/hotel i fabelagtige omgivelser. Alle på hotellet var yderst imødekommende og den glæde de havde sammen kunne man virkelige mærke som gæst! Super dejlig oplevelse.

Cosy stay in a great location

The room was clean and cosy with a comfortable bed. The location was perfect for exploring the Kielder forest. We enjoyed two evening meals at the pub where the service was very friendly and the atmosphere very cosy.

Charming country hotel great for visiting Kielder

We picked this hotel because we were going to visit the Kielder Dark Skies Observatory with our children, and it worked very well for us. The observatory is just a short drive away, the family room at the hotel was a delight, the food was very good and we all had a great stay.

Beautiful property in lovely countryside. The room was spacious and clean with good facilities provided. The bar was well stocked and the food lovely, although a little pricey, especially the children’s meal! Breakfast was fab with a great choice and cooked to order so was piping hot on arrival. Went to Kielder winter wonderland so this was an ideal stay as only 10mins drive away. Would definitely recommend.

Friendly staff, unfortunately a small bed (we are 5.9/5.4ft) and neaely fell out turning over several times. Weird clicking noises (relay or a switch) in the wall in early hours was a little annoying.Great food for breakfast and dinner. A beautiful place

Enjoyed our stay, good location near kielder lake and observatory, service and meals were very good. Hotel was expensive for the size of the accommodation. Bedroom and shower were very small.

Lovely old inn refurbished sympathetically. Room was very comfortable with view across to the hills. Owners most attentive providing excellent service. Would recommend without hesitation.
