The other reviews saying you must go outside to the side to go to the restaurant/beach/pool is true so I might avoid the busy weekends. But overall the experience was great thanks to the friendly staff and good food + drinks at the restaurant. (Worth paying for vs all inclusive IMO) There is also staff watching over your things at the beach front when you’re swimming so it feels safe.

I like to start off by saying good things. The pool area and access to the beach were great. The restaurant was also pretty good. Unfortunately, the room was extremely noisy the first night with multiple parties outside. The bed was comfortable, but the room was spartan and smelled poorly. The bathroom fixtures were rusty, and I had no hot water in the shower for any of the three days I was there. I only paid $100 a night, so I guess you get what you pay for, especially so close to the beach. I would have gladly paid more for a better room (which a friend did because his room was so bad, and he said the second room was much better).

I made the reservation a month in advance and stated it was for 5 people, 2 adults and 3 children. I arrived to check in on a Sunday and there was no parking and the room was not ready. Gerson, the front desk was very rude and had an attitude like his life stinks. I was told that a sofa bed was going to be added to the room by the time I came back from the beach, 3 hours later no sofa bed, they ended up moving me to another room. I s moved to another room since they couldn't find a sofa bed. The rooms are bare, very basic, the showers are falling apart. Second day we lost power from 3pm until 10lwpm. The only good thing about the this place was that the restaurant was awesome. Best pizza I've had.

First maybe Boca Chica itself is not the place to stay in the Dominican Republic. Way better choices. The hotel is terrible. We stayed in a family suit. It was a dank and boring room. Granted it was big but had a couch a table a tv and a bed. That’s it. The room was not very clean and they only equipped us with 2 towels a small bar of soap and toilet paper. The towel rack was falling off the wall and the toilet seat was yellow ( was actually white ). The room was loud with banging from the water pipes. And our view was a dilapidated building. They had no activities on premises except a pool and pizza restaurant. They had beach access. Which was nice. Not the ideal place to stay when you want a relaxing vacation.
