Overrated and overpriced. Far from the city and the location is divided in 3 types of sleep. I believe we stayed in the best one but not worth it. Rooms are large, but too warm and no temperature regulation. Also, bathroom with a sewage smell. Breakfast is very simple.

AVOID IN WINTER if you want to use the facilities such as kitchen etc. The kitchen is in a separate building from the rooms which was not made clear when booking. It is a huge kitchen but only two tiny heaters worked so it was baltic. Meant we had to go out for tea which we weren’t planning on doing so messed up ours plans. Nice room tho

We stayed at Farmhouse Lodge’s Chicken house for 2 days before Christmas and absolutely loved it. The Chicken house has everything- fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and bathroom. The location is wonderful since you can go and see several waterfalls and black sands beaches near by. Highly recommend to anyone who likes to explore that area of Iceland.
