Small hotel, right in front of the lake. Very nice hotel and staff

Room was clean but constant sound of running water meant it sounded like heavy rain all night. Staff lovely and accommodating. Very central to local attractions. Would stay again but in a different room. Our friend travelling same dates/booking had a spacious room with view so I guess we were unlucky.

Fantastic location. A bit of an uphill walk from town and steep stairs to hotel but very quiet. Lovely breakfast.

Staff were all great and friendly, great location and food good. The bar needed stocking fully -kept running out. Aircon unit was noisy so switched it off at night.

Positives - friendly, helpful staff, reasonably priced and well located on the lake. Breakfast was pretty good. The young guy on reception was particularly helpful and polite Negatives - we had booked a delux room but as hotel busy, we were given a very poor room despite having pre advised the hotel it was our anniversary. Spoke to manager and paid for an upgrade to best room the following day which was much better In summary, an average hotel in need of modernising/ refurbishment but ok overall as long as you're not expecting too much

Good hotel overlooking the lake

Good hotel overlooking the lake. The staff were great & really looked after us. We ate in the restaurant at night & the food & wine were excellent. Good breakfast, the only downside was the coffee which wasn't good. Overall we would stay here again.

An amazing place that is conveniently located near Kandy Lake. The staff were very friendly and supportive which helped us a lot since we were with a 4yr old. The restaurant serves a nice variety of dishes that are reasonably priced and I would definitely recommend the Chicken Waffle.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff

I had a really nice stay at Viyana. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. It was in a good location by the lake and the evening meals I had there were tasty. Air con and water system were a bit noisy but other than that it was great. I would stay here again.

Friendly and helpful staff at reception and especially in restaurant. Comfortable bed and spacious room. Good food in restaurant. Very close to lake and easy access to town especially temple and city museum. Slightly noisy due to busy road but even so we would still recommend.

A Sri Lankan Gem!

This hotel was amazing! Service and accommodations felt 5-star, and the price was the best part. The suite I stayed in had more space than my apartment with a jacuzzi overlooking the lake with an all glass view. I will definitely stay here when I return to Sri Lanka in October!

Fantastic, friendly staff giving 1st class service. Excellent food. My only slight criticism is the air conditioning in the room was a bit noisy but overall a most enjoyable stay and I would definitely be very happy to stay again.

Comfortable room wth a view

Very comfortable bed in a room with stunning views over the lake in Kandy. Only downside was no lift, but staff were very helpful getting the bags up to the room. Will stay there again if I’m back in Kandy.

The staff are super friendly and helpful, especially Ryan on the front desk. The room we had was simple and clean, aircon worked great. The viewing area on the 4th floor is really nice.
