The only reason for rating the comfort a 3 instead of 5 is due to the location of Mynest next to the local mosque. It has prayers through the loudspeaker at 5.30am and again at 8.00pm (with 2 young children being woken up at 5.30am and 8.00pm when their bedtime is 7pm for 2 days in a row becomes quite taxing) but apart from that Mynest is a cute and very different to places we use to stay for holidays. It's extremely local, and it's in the heart of things from the local street fare to Jonker Walk, Malacca River, Dutch Square and everything else that makes Malacca such a fun town to visit. Joyce, the owner of Mynest is extremely helpful and kind. We enjoyed staying here but unfortunately we won't return purely due our young children and the mosque. But if you don't mind the 5.30am wake up call then Mynest is a must. Everything works and in great condition, Joyce takes pride in making it feel homely but yet not cluttered. Beds are comfortable and the shower and toilet facilities are modern and new. We tried to watch some late night telly when the kids were asleep but the channels were limited to local channels only, and there is no private balcony as stated (Joyce, you might want to edit it).
