A very cute, small place with an island feel in a renovated old island home. Just a few steps off Duvall, yet very quite. Staff was wonderful. Room cozy, nice big bathroom. Super comfy bed. Issues: parking. There are only a few “free” parking spaces out front on the small narrow side street which dead-ends at their gate. Otherwise, you can pay to use one of the two spaces at the back alley, at $20/day. This seemed a little absurd, to pay extra to park, when our room, the Madrid, was almost $900 for two nights! Luckily, the place was not full so wasn’t a problem. Breakfast was all premade things but okay. They could have a little more tropical fruits instead of imported apples! But, they do have complementary big beach cruisers for guests to use. They have Avery small but comfy pool, which we used nightly. Overall, a solid 4 in some mentioned areas, and others a 5. Just depends what you are looking for overall. Since we like to get the flavor of a place and dont especially like larger hotels, it worked for us.
