Second visit to Arai. Snow was brilliant! Lifts are great compared to the older and more tired resorts like Akakura Onsen. My issue this visit is many facilities were closed. Bakery Cafe, Convenience Store, Asahi Restaurant we closed the entire time or for half our visit. The Plate was also feeling tired in terms of quality compared to our 2024 visit. Rooms and service are great. transfer excellent. Those issues made the great time more bland.

A+++++ powder skiing & beautiful onsen

The Lotte Arai is the best hotel for skiing and onsen. Super soft endless powder snow on the gorgeous mountain hills and the slopes were adventurous and super exciting. The expert++ slopes can be another surplus if you are expert level. The onsen is luxury level. Sitting in the hotel water with snow falling on your head, especially at Lotte's well groomed onsen is unforgettable. The food at the hotel is not luxury level and limited as the location is all on its own with the city being 20-30 mins drive away from the site. One snowy evening when the Japanese, steak house, and Thai restaurant was full we drove out in the heavy snow to a slightly city area and found a local restaurant reccomending their stove rice pot, it became my top 3 best restaurant in Japan. I would reccomend driving out for food there was also a great Yakiniku not far away too.

とても広いところで、豪華でした。温泉が目的でしたので少し温泉度は無く夏休みが始まっていたので子供達が多くファミリー向けに最適と思いました。お値段はお手頃で良かったと思います。

団体が入ってみたいですが夕食会場の案内の悪さ、ブュッフェに対して料理提供が全然できていない。朝食会場も人数に対してテーブル案内が無いので6人がけに2人が使用したり今まで色々利用していますがあんなに並んで待たされたホテルは初めてでした。ホテルは静かで良い所でしたが食事に関しては残念でした。もう少しお客様をスムーズに案内できるように考えられた方が良いと思います。

清潔なホテルで、贅沢感もあり良いホテルかと思います。他方て、従業員間の意思疎通があまりうまくいってないのか、サービス面で少し気になるところがありました。一例を挙げさせていただければ、お水のボトルが毎日サービスでつく規定になっているところ、三泊中初日以外支給されていませんでした。無料なので、ありがたいサービスですが、だからこそこちらから言いづらいので何も言わずに至急いただきたかったです。また、夕食でビュッフェを利用したところ、20:30最終の時間のところ、20:00段階でかなりデザートが足りていませんでした。また、スタッフの方々が店内で静かな声でしたが、「チーズケーキはもう出さなくて良い」と話していたことが偶然聞こえましたが、子供がチーズケーキを食べたがっていたので、ダメ元でスタッフの方々に聞いたところ、もう在庫がないのでチーズケーキはお出しできませんと言われました。内緒話を踏まえれば在庫自体はあるはずなので、(こちらの聞き間違いの可能性もありますが、)嘘をつかれたのではないかというモヤモヤが残りました。ただ冒頭で記載させていただいたとおり、ホテルは清潔であり、スタッフの方々の対応自体は丁寧ですので、閑散期で安価であったことも踏まえれば多分に良いホテルだと思います。

コロナ禍に初めてArai棟に宿泊。今回は念願のLodge棟に宿泊しました。とても快適な部屋でみな大喜びでした。オフシーズンでしたので2食付で1人約16000円は大変お得感がありました。また機会があれば訪れたいです。

The property was great but hard to get to and only had a shuttle at certain times. Make sure you reserve a seat beforehand and that it lines up for right after your train arrives. Also bring snacks because a lot of restaurants weren’t open during the end of the snow season

It is a clean hotel and in very reasonable price. Only HKD 450/ per night . The lobby is newly renovated and the room is a bit old. But, the room is clean and I have no complaint. U can enjoy free onsen and the environment overall is good.

クラブ棟で2泊しました以前のホスピタリティがあって高級なリゾートを体感できたTHEクラブではなく、今や施設がきれいだけど価格が高いだけのビジネスホテルです荷物も部屋までご自分でとの事、到着早々無駄にホテル、部屋のグレードにお金を使ってしまったと感じたのは始まりで朝食会場は2ヶ所ありますが洋食会場は質、種類ともに値段に間合いません何よりスタッフがチェックイン、チェックアウト業務しか出来ないようです何か質問、要望があっても叶うことはないでしょう唯一の救いは屋内駐車場と言うことだけです

Amazing place

Amazing. Clean excellent breakfast buffet. Onsen was awesome. The only issue was they shut down the lifts bc of snow so skiing was hard. lol

Awesome ski in and out property, if you take the train and get off at the closest station they have a shuttle bus that takes you to the resort

Nice resort with a few restaurants on site. Facilities were nice and the staff were helpful. Would not recommend for a solo traveler longer than a weekend. Mountain was nice and convenient for skiing

This beautiful resort would’ve gotten the 5 stars it deserved had it not been for the Vietnamese restaurant in the pas through that I reserved a table at. I was ignored while others were seated and orders taken and weee eating before I was acknowledged. Had it not been for that place experience this place was easy 5/5.
