Nice and cozy hotel. Average breakfast and very very clean. Bathrooms and rooms small but still manageable and comfy.
As there was a small group, the glazed seating area on each floor was great to meet and chat.
Great place to stay everything you need without the frills. Handy for walking into Reykjavik. Restaurants within walking distance or bus stops close to hotel to allow you to check out more places. Staff really friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble. Great selection of food for breakfast. Really quiet despite being close to the road.
Pretty cheap and therefore basic. The rooms are clean, but quite small (slightly larger than bed).
Everything in this hotel is new and very modern. Parking was very easy. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was very good. If I have to write something that I didn’t like would be that they didn’t have a hand soap or telephone in the room.
Great stay, very clean, great breakfast.
Bedrooms small but perfectly clean and adequate. Easy check in with code, and email to check that all was well. A buffet breakfast which was good and kept topped up by staff. You can also help yourself to tea and coffee at any time day or night. Helpful and friendly staff on Reception. Whilst there aren’t many facilities in the hotel it was perfectly fine for our stay. The centre of town is walkable although it takes about 20 minutes, but there are local buses. Also near to large thermal pool.
Located in an off-the-city-center neighborhood, we had a comfortable bedroom on the bottom floor, small room but we had what we needed. The shower is opened, so it was a bit of a water mess around, heated floors sort of helped cleared it out. Toiletries and a hair dryer are available. The breakfast buffet was OK but limited, enough to get something to eat before taking off. Check-in and check-out was pretty straightforward and didn't require human interaction as the doors are code accessed. Being on the bottom floor makes it so that you are in an area common to the laundry machines and next to the breakfast room, not private at all (we could hear noises real early in the morning), I advise to request rooms in any other floor. The place has an elevator. The parking area is right outside the building, not really well signaled, holds around 4-5 cars, parking on the streets is also free. The area has about 2-3 places to eat (local restaurant and coffee shops) that are quite good and at walking distance. It is also close to many main streets where you can catch buses or call a cab, but if you have a car, is quite handy as parking is free. If you do not have a car and are in tourist mode, it is way more convenient to stay closer to the city center, although the car rides from here are not longer than 6-8 minutes into the city center. Great place to stay.
It is in a terrific location, very close to a few key attractions in Reykjavík. The room was modern and clean. We did have a very noisy bathroom fan that didn’t turn off but the property addressed the issue right away and we were able to get a good night’s sleep without any noise problems. I would recommend Nordurey for a reasonably priced, comfortable stay that is very central!
The place was amazing. Friendly staffs, good location, lovely breakfasts...
