Elegant yet homey, great facilties, lovely hosts
We enjoyed everything about our 5 day stay at Serenita; the most difficult thing about staying there was working up the initiative to leave the beautiful house & grounds and the relaxing atmosphere in order to explore the nearby towns and countryside. We were in the Chimbaluk suite, with a big living area with leather couches/big screen TV/frig-coffeemaker/plus a large separate bedroom and bath. Enjoyed a daily communal breakfast where we met interesting guests and neighbors (chatting optional), long hours by the beautiful pool, comfortable lounging nooks around the property, beautiful views, sweet resident dogs, no noisy children (or adults!)d, and several nights use of the well-equipped outdoor kitchen to prepare our own candlelight dinners. Hosts Graeme and Fiona provide great hospitality: anything-you-need service, friendly conversation, touring advice if requested, and the courtesy and sensitivity to respect your solitude/privacy. We are not all that friendly/chatty ourselves, usually, but in this relaxed and companionable atmosphere it was easy to let down one's guard and enjoy the people as well as the place. This is a wonderful peaceful countryside base for visiting the beautiful baroque towns of Noto & Modica, as well as the nearby seaside towns & beaches.
