We had a lovely stay for one night, it is the perfect location, making it easy to walk everywhere. We had everything we needed. We had a sea view, but unfortunately, it was covered with scaffolding, which was disappointing! The breakfast was really nice, and you had plenty of choices to pick from.

Positives, the restaurant is excellent! The food is really very good & the staff are very nice. However, the room is not value for money. We stayed in the standard double and at over £200 a night I'd have expected more too be honest. You can get it cheaper if you book last minute. The room is very small, we were unfortunate that it was hot again & the small but noisy fan in the room did next to nothing in cooling it down. With the windows open it was very noisy outside but you are staying on a working harbour so I do have an element of acceptance. But you shouldn't need to as for the price you'd expect AC or at very least a better fan. In the bathroom again it's very small & is a wetroom which when you shower covers the whole room in water. Folkstone is worth a visit & I would go again but I'd stay somewhere else & just eat at one of Rocksalts restaurants.

Fantastic location right on the harbour, lots to see and do within walking distance. Located in a building separate to the main restaurant/bar, so no issue with any noise. Lovely breakfast in the restaurant each morning. Note no parking and your best option is the Harbour arm carpark, which is £20 for 24hours.

Decent room but bathroom needs improvement We recently stayed at Rocksalt Rooms in Folkestone. The room itself was comfortable and nicely appointed – we had no issues there and enjoyed the location right by the harbour. Unfortunately, the bathroom was a real letdown for a longer stay. The shower left the floor and toilet completely soaked every time, and the sink was far too tiny, which made daily routines awkward. These issues made the bathroom impractical, especially given the wet-room style setup.

Lovely little guest house. We stayed in the Kitten room. There was a fold out bed as well as the double and single, so we managed to squeeze four in. Ideal for a short stay and the restaurant staff were super helpful and friendly in helping us get settled. Breakfast was also amazing with a great view.

All was just delightful. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, location was close to perfect, room was very clean and tidy, small, indie shops close by. All made for really lovely weekend. The only small criticism we had was the sound quality on the TV. Thank you Rocksalt. We would definitely return.

Lovely rooms for a short stay in Folkestone and a fantastic breakfast. Only small comment would be that in the summer when the day starts really early, the shutters don't really block the light so we were not able to have much of a lie in - although this is personal preference and only a small comment on an otherwise lovely stay.
