I stayed 4 nights and had a great experience, everything was clean, had room and bathroom to myself and key to the door, would definitely stay again for sure!

4/10 Fair

This is about the only place to stay near Charlotte Vt. Basically, no one was home! A little sign said room #4 was for us. The bed probably was a double only. There were no water glasses in the room (an issue) and no TV ( not an issue). Breakfast possibilities were coffee, yogurt, Cheerios, an apple.

10/10 Exceptional

Quiet and pretty location and suited our needs a for a night. Didn’t see any signs of staff the whole stay which made it a little impersonal. Breakfast very basic but all in all a pleasant enough stay.
Tristram, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Good experience, enjoyed the common room and amenities. The views were good from there.

Stay here if you possibly can! The grounds are so peaceful and beautiful, the food was great, there's a fun bike ride down to the ferry, country walking on trails, pretty farmland, and an astonishing, amazing, truly unbelievable host.

Great!

Great stay! The house was very clean and very quiet. Beautiful property and worth it if you don't want to stay in Burlington proper; it's super close to go into Burlington if you want to. Would book again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Old Lantern Inn and Barn, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the warm hospitality of the host, who went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The lobby, beautifully designed, immediately set a welcoming tone. The breathtaking views surrounding the inn were truly a highlight, providing a serene backdrop for relaxation. I loved the complimentary tea, coffee, and snacks available at all times—such a thoughtful touch that made my stay feel even more special. The hassle-free check-in process, even late in the evening, made everything so convenient. Overall, this is a gem of a place, and I can't wait to return!
SAKSHI, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

It was strange not to be greeted by anyone, very impersonal both arriving and leaving. We did see the gentleman we assumed to be the owner but he barely spoke to us.
Kathleen, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

We understood that there was breakfast, but there was none - only snacks that were available in cannisters. We were promised a room overlooking the lake, but there was none - the inn is far from the lake. The room was clean and lovely. I can't say anything about the service because there was none - the reception was closed when we arrived, and when we left. In sum, pretty building, nice furniture, comfy bed, but overpriced.
Joel, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Small Inn south of Burlington

The room was small. It had a Queen size bed and a small bathroom. No TV, refrigerator or microwave were in the room. There was a small common refrigerator in the hallway. There was no ice available. The free breakfast was good with coffee, yogurt, Chex cereal, and fruit.
John, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Re staff and service, we never saw a single human being from the property. There was no one to check us in and no one around at all during the breakfast hour? Everything was self serve and fine, but one does like some human contact. How do they build relationships otherwise?
