I was on a business trip and was looking for a peaceful night at this hotel. But there was a massive carneval party right outside the hotel. First of all the hotel entrence was locked. Had to call someone to open for me and to check me in. Then I went out to get some dinner, but the rear entrence was locked again. The hotel was in some sort of shut down mode. They should have closed it for these days when party was ongoing. Also the breakfast was simple and tasteless. The room was very cold

Its a pub. Not a hotel...

Two things to note about this hotel. 1. It is in a pedestrianised area and the nearest car park is 25 euros per day and it is about half a mile away. Not a problem for most folk. but if you have a mobility issue like I do it may be as well to check it out first. 2. Its a pub with rooms. Not usually a problem, but they charge proper hotel prices here (140 euros per night B&B) for a stay in a pub. Breakfast was Ok but not buffet and limited choices. Clean enough and staff very nice. Smallest lift I have ever seen but hey...you'll manage...

The staff and service was excellent. However the staircase to our room was very narrow and dangerous for older people. To our surprise there was no coffee or tea making facilities in the rooms.

Het hotel ligt midden in het centrum. De kamer was schoon en netjes, goed bed, mooie badkamer. Goed ontbijt (geen buffet, maar wel keuze uit verschillende menu's) . Uitstekende service. Ik was hier om Koningsdag te vieren in Breda. Ik kon mijn bagage al voor de check in tijd bij de receptie afgeven en deze stond 's avonds toen ik terug in het hotel kwam netjes in de kamer. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Dit hotel is voor deze prijs zeker een aanrader voor een ieder die in Breda is voor een evenement.

Vrienden weekendje weg

Samen met vrienden hebben wij een nacht verbleven in stadshotel de Klok, dit ivm een festival. Wij waren erg tevreden over alle services en de kamer. Hotel is op loopafstand van de stad maar ook het station, dit was voor ons erg belangrijk ivm pendelbussen. Dit hotel gaan we zeker onthouden voor een volgende Ploegendienst festival!
