I would love to give this hotel 5 stars because it really is nice and the staff were great, however. If you use a wheelchair check, double check, and check again to make sure that your room is ADA Accessible. I booked a wheel chair accessible room 3 months in advance, and at check in even confirmed that the room was wheelchair accessible. There were 2 of us, both in wheelchairs so this was very important. But when we went into the room we found that it was NOT wheelchair accessible, particularly the bathroom. Our chairs could fit through the door, but that was it. No room for the chair actually inside if you needed to use the facilities, Shower, or even use the sink. The door to the shower was too narrow, the sink had a full cabinet so no way to get close to it, and there were no hand rails anywhere. Luckily we are both single amputees so we were able to deal with it, but had either of us been paraplegic there would have been no way. We had no choice but to stay in that room as every other hotel in the area was booked.
For a "Hilton Property" this was very disappointing and frustrating. You would think that a company of their reputation would make sure their "accessible" rooms were actually ADA Compliant. Which leads me to wonder, did they over book, was our original accessible room given to someone else, or did they care at all?
