Amazing host, amazing place & amazing breakfast. Very well kept property, little details in the property will remind you of how much host must love hosting people & running this B&B. The place & property overall is everything you would need for a comfortable stay. I can't find any fault with this establishment whatsoever we had the classic room with king size bed with sea view clean tidy and very comfortable breakfast superb so good I've booked for next June i would highly recommend a stay.

Wonderful stay for 8 nights , very clean, tidy spacious room. Felt very welcome from start to finish. Car parking available front and back of the property. Excellent breakfast and very freindy and pleasant host. Would stay again and definitely recommend

I really recommend staying here. Lovely clean b&b, helpful owners, central to everything. I was a woman travelling by myself, I felt safe & when I had an issue with my tyre they were happy to help. Beautiful scenery on the doorstep and a lovely little town nearby

So pleased that we chose the Geckos rest to stay for 4 nights. John and Amy were welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area, suggesting different ways to walk to town, where to catch a bus if we needed it. The rooms are spotless, have all you need. Nice smelling toiletries and well stocked tea tray. They provide free fresh milk should you want it and use of the fridge in the dining room in case you need to keep something cool. Plenty of parking for everyone staying. You will never go hungry at breakfast and Amy provides well cooked local produce. The beds are very comfortable and the windows open. It is a 10-15 minute walk into town and that is with someone with a walking stick. It makes a good base for walking and visiting the surrounding areas. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A great venue

Very friendly and helpful owners. They were in touch pre-arrival and were there to welcome us on the day. The room was modern, clean and comfortable with a view over Newquay to the sea. A comfortable bed, good shower, good Wi-Fi and an excellent cooked breakfast.

Attention to detail was wonderful . The rooms , decor and comfort were exemplary . The hosts have taken every care to make the stay memorable . Exceptional service from friendly and generous hosts. Stayed 2 nights, good location for exploring Cornwall. Room was snug as described, spotlessly clean and comfortable. John and Amy are great hosts. Small things like having fresh milk available to guests for tea or coffee and having access to the breakfast room for dinner made the stay more enjoyable. Breakfast options were varied and delicious. Overall I can't say enough about how great the hosts are. Would recommend to friends and family without hesitation.

I cannot say enough nice things about gecko's rest the couple John and Amy that run it were so lovely and friendly and helpful the place wasn't just clean it was immaculate all everything was upgraded brand new we just had the best time I would recommend it to anyone I speak to. The little town was a 5 minute walk with plenty of dining options and shopping and things to do right on the ocean absolutely beautiful little town. They had a beautiful little terrace out front where you could sit after a long day of being a tourist have a glass of wine watch the sunset was lovely.

Geckos Rest

Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer war gut. Das Frühstück war super. Man hatte die Gelegenheit im Speisezimmer den Kühlschrank zu benutzen und auch dort mitgebrachte Speisen zu verzehren. Auch konnte man sich Getränke und Snacks aus dem Kühlschrank nehmen, auf eine Liste eintragen und am Ende des Aufenthaltes bezahlen. Gerne würden wir wieder kommen.
