Ravenstone is a stunning small hotel, with warm friendly and helpful staff.
The room, which was at the front, overlooked the lake and Whinlatter Forest. It was very comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated, which is true for the whole hotel.
A particular favourite place in the hotel during our stay was by the wood burner in the sitting room. After a day out walking to come back and read there was just so relaxing.
We ate out one evening but the following night had dinner at Ravenstone, which was really tasty with a good range of choices.
It’s our second stay at Ravenstone, which says a lot as we don’t tend to stay in the same place more than once. As we drove away we said to each other that we’ll definitely be visiting again.
It’s so well located, very relaxing, well managed and staffed and provides the perfect setting for time away from everything.
