Great location on top of the hill overlooking the village. Wild & windy night but slept well. Overnight stay. Comfortable bed & clean room. Bathroom could be updated as we had a shower over the bath. Dinner in the restaurant was nice. Second visit to Portpatrick as it is a favourite place. Would recommend.

Staff excellent.. superb location....the place does need a bit of a refurb however as it's looking a bit tired. But would definitely stay again though simply because of the view from the hotel.

First of all when we booked, breakfast was included in the rate. When our staff arrived they were told breakfast was not included. We are also of the opinion that breakfast should have been included, given the price that was paid for the two rooms.

The hotel has the best views over Portpatrick and the bay. The bedroom was spacious but tired, needing some TLC. The reception, bar and sitting areas are nice as is the outdoor sitting area. The breakfast room is in a grand room but I felt the breakfast itself was mediocre. A nice stay but I wouldn’t rush back.

This hotel is dog friendly, dogs are allowed to stay in every room. I knew the hotel took dogs but I wasn’t aware there were no rooms allocated for people don’t want a pet friendly room or have a pet allergy. One the plus, the hotel has fantastic sea views. Breakfast was ok, a reasonable choice of cooked food but if you want a fried egg with your breakfast you have to ask the waiter. Only scrambled eggs are on the buffet.

Great location with panoramic view of Portpatrick. Car parking on site which is included in the cost of your room as long as you register with reception. Very clean hotel . Dog friendly with dedicated areas of the hotel reserved for dogs and their owners. Breakfast is self service buffet. The plate warmer and the hot food warmer do not keep the plates and the cooked food warm. Coffee machine was broken so only instant coffee available at breakfast hence a score of 4 out of 5.

It’s an old hotel with modern upgrades so very clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and the food was good. The scenery is fantastic. We would happily stay there again.

Hotel is a bit dated and could do with a freshen up but for what you pay, I can’t complain. The staff were fantastic, especially the young man in the restaurant on Saturday night, a credit to the hotel. Food was also first class.
