Spent four nights with my wife in this hotel. The big hotel one block away was so rundown, that we decided to try this new small hotel instead. Checking in took more than 20 minutes because one staff was trying desperately to print a boarding pass for another guest and ignored us altogether. The DeLuxe room was very, very small and could not accommodate a large suitcase. There was no closet and only very little space to hang clothes. The electric switches worked mysteriously: The switch under the bedside lamp switched on the bathroom light on the other side of the room, but you had to go to the bathroom to switch it off (just to mention one odd example). One of the keycards never agreed to open the door of our room, even though we brought it back to the reception for reformatting several times. In the outdoor terrace under the window the music started playing quite loudly at 6.45 in the morning—a wakeup that we certainly did not ask for or appreciate. The expensive breakfast was very minimalist—nothing compared to what you get in other hotels for that price. The mattress and pillow were pretty hard, which does not suit me, but that is of course a personal matter. Staff was quite friendly but not always professional.
