First, there is no hot spring within the suite even it has a tub. The tap hot water needs 15+ min warm up time and the water temperature is very difficult to adjust. The entire ryokan is old and outdated. The meals were average at best. The famous nearby hot sand bath experience was over rated. The service is good overall.

Strongly Recommended!
A very good hotel. A most wonderful experience. Room was comfortable. Onsen was awesome - the size and the space. Sand bath was an interesting experience - quite fun to do as a family. The highlight was the kaiseki dinner - delicious.

We had a fantastic stay here with our two year old and four month old. The baths were great and also had a sauna and cold pool, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were superb and there was a menu in English. Our host Sarina was wonderful. The hot sand onsen is a short walk from the hotel and was very easy to get to. We loved the small touches for the children with the kids’ yukata robe and Anpanman slippers and the manager brought our car right to the front to help us load up in the rain. A brilliant traditional Japanese inn stay that comes highly recommended from us
